Method "measure of evil eye"
This is an ritual made of a length of cloth or thread three hasta long (hasta = the length from elbow to fingertips). First, the cloth or thread is to be wrapped around a person's hand. Then a prayer (doa) is read and the cloth or thread measured. If the cloth measures less or more than the original measurement, the person is suffering from the evil eye of another and he shall be as before. If the cloth does not measure less or more, the person is not suffering from any illness caused by the evil eye of another. The prayer and charm begin in this way:
Say: He is God the One and Only; God, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him. (Surah al-lkhlas : 1-4)
We send down (stage by stage) in the Qur'an that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe: to the ujust it causes nothing but loss after loss. (Surah al-Israk: 82)
Had We sent down this Qur'an on a mountain, verily, thou wouldst have seen it humble itself and cleave asunder for fear of God. Such are the similitudes which We propound on men, that they may reflect (Surah al-Hashr : 21)
He said: "Shall I trust you with him with any result other than when I trusted you with his brother aforetime. But God is the best to take care (of him), and He is the most merciful of those who show mercy! (Surah al-Yusuf : 64)
Men said to them: "A great army is gathering against you": and frightened them. But it (only) increased their faith; they said. "For us God sufficeth, and He is the best disposer of affairs." (Surah al-'Imran : 173)
