FOR THE IDENTIFICATION OF THE DISEASE
A man or woman should wear a kurta or shirt for twenty-four hours without any other clothing underneath. The woman should not wear a shay, body, or any other garment underneath. Only the kurta should be worn, and whatever else is desired can be worn over it. Measure the kurta with a fist and mark it. Then, recite the following verses on this garment, meaning read them each time and blow on the kurta for ten minutes. After that, let it remain for fifteen minutes. Afterward, measure it again with a fist. If the fabric shrinks by one inch (becomes smaller) or expands, know that the patient is affected by a jinn. If it shrinks or expands by two inches, then it is the effect of a devil. If it shrinks or expands by three or four inches, then it is the effect of magic. Treat accordingly. If the fabric is equal to the original measurement, then it is a bodily illness and should be treated by a doctor. Because the treatment of bodily illness can only be done by a physical healer. However, reciting Surah Al-Fatiha once at the beginning and end and sending blessings three times, then blowing on this water and giving it to the patient, will ensure the grace of Allah for health. The prescription is as follows: 1. Recite Surah Al-Fatiha three times and blow on the garment. Surah Al-Fatiha is: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, Master of the Day of Judgment. You alone we worship, and You alone we ask for help. Guide us to the straight path, the path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked [Your] anger or of those who are astray. -2- Recite Ayat al-Kursi three times and blow on the clothes. Ayat al-Kursi is as follows: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. There is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great. -3- Recite Surah As-Saffat from the beginning up to “from clay” once and blow on the clothes. The verses of Surah As-Saffat are as follows: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. By those [angels] lined up in rows and those who drive [the clouds] with force and those who recite the message. Indeed, your God is One, Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, and Lord of the east. Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars and [have made from it] what is a protection against every rebellious devil. They cannot listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, driven away, and for them is a constant punishment. -4- Recite Surah Al-Jinn from the beginning up to “one by one” once and blow on the clothes. In the name od Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Recite on the cloth.
