Islamic Spiritual Medicine

Islamic spiritual medicine (also known as Ruqyah Shar’iyyah) is the practice of healing through the Qur’an, supplications (duas), and the beautiful names of Allah. It is based on the belief that the Qur’an and the Sunnah contain remedies and protection against spiritual, psychological, and physical ailments. This is not an alternative religion but an integral part of Islamic practice, rooted in the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

There are many traditions where the Prophet recited specific chapters and verses for protection or healing. Among the most well-known are Surah Al-Fatiha, Surah Al-Falaq, Surah An-Nas, Ayat al-Kursi, as well as specific supplications (duas) and forms of remembrance (dhikr). These are recited for health, tranquility, protection against envy, magic (sihr), and harmful jinn. One of the most significant invocations is Ya Shafi – “O You who heal.”

In practice, this often means reciting verses and prayers over the sick, writing prayers on paper or porcelain plates, then washing them with pure water which the patient drinks or bathes with.

According to Bosnian spiritual healers, there are around 3,000 illnesses in the world, and conventional medicine can cure fewer than a thousand of them. The rest, they claim, fall into the domain of spiritual healing.

Main Practices in Spiritual Healing

Spiritual healers use several traditional methods, often combined with others such as writing talismans (ta’weez), amulets, numerological charts (wafq), reciting ruqyah (exorcistic prayers), tying knots, using olive oil and honey, or burning incense. While primarily intended for spiritual disorders, some remedies overlap with physical illnesses traditionally treated in medicine.

Methods of Diagnosis and Healing

Testing the patient’s condition

• The patient’s name and mother’s name are written on a piece of paper, along with selected names of Allah.

• The paper is placed in water overnight.

• If the paper sinks: recovery is expected.

• If it floats: the illness remains.

Verse for general healing
Anyone suffering from illness may write the verse:
“And We send down in the Qur’an that which is healing and mercy for the believers.” (17:82)
on clean white paper, dissolve it in water, and then drink or bathe with it, seeking Allah’s healing.

For leukoderma (white patches on the skin)
A verse is written on paper and applied to the affected area. The area is then washed with water mixed with salt and black cumin seeds while reciting the prayer:
“O Allah, You are the Healer, heal me!”

For fever
Recite Surah Yasin, tying a knot on a string with each verse until seven knots are made. The string is tied around the patient’s neck.

For paralysis
Massage the body and spine with sesame and olive oil, reciting:
“And when I am ill, it is He (Allah) who cures me.” (26:80)

For diarrhea
Drink milk over which the invocation Ya Latif has been recited 21 times, with the addition of cloves and cumin if desired.

For blood clots and blockages
Carry the verse:
“Nothing will befall us except what Allah has decreed for us; He is our Protector. And in Allah let the believers place their trust.” (9:51)

For insomnia and breathing difficulties
Carry or hang the verse:
“Have We not expanded for you your chest and relieved you of your burden?” (94:1-2)

The Role of Saffron

The Qur’an – A Heavenly Book, A Heavenly Cure

The name Qur’an (Kuran) itself carries deep meaning. In Latin, the word cura (cure, healing) or the verb curare means “to heal,” “to care for,” or “to prepare for publication” (like a book). Since the Qur’an is referred to as a divine revelation, it is often described as both the Heavenly Book and the Heavenly Cure.

VENUS AND JUPITER AS ANGELS OF LOVE

Arabic magic is rightly called astral magic because of its extensive astrological background. For every occult work there is a precisely determined day, hour, star position, moon house, planetary spirits, rulers, lower and higher energy beings. All this should not be surprising if we remember for a moment that the cradle of astrology, as well as of magic itself, but also of religion, is today's territory occupied by Iran, Iraq and Egypt.

When one wants to undertake a magical action such as making a talisman, and in order for it to be successful, special attention must be paid to the correct selection of the time when it will be undertaken. The reason for such an attitude is the desire to precisely divide the quality of time to allow the magician to align his work exactly with the energy of a certain planet.

Namely, the associated forces (strengths) of each individual planet are normally scattered throughout the universe and therefore their action is usually not completely pure nor is their importance precisely determined. In order to achieve the latter, and to direct the power of the planet into writing, it is necessary, if possible, to unite several interdependent actions and thus temporarily create an atmosphere in which one planet rules exclusively and entirely, whose action will not be hindered by the influence of any other planet.

When composing love talismans, it is necessary to know the basic astrological rules, namely, the starting point is Venus, as a symbol of woman, and Jupiter, as a symbol of man. In this case, Mars is not considered in the classical representation of Venus-Mars: woman and man. Because Mars, together with Saturn, is a well-known malefic, useful exclusively in black magic. Mercury, on the other hand, as an androgynous, is ideal for the love union of persons of the same sex.

Among the most suitable moments for writing a love talisman is when Venus is in conjunction with Jupiter, or in conjunction with Mercury. This astrological time gives the talisman a special power: it can literally make the person whose name is mentioned in the talisman obsessed with love for the man or woman who ordered the talisman.

It is interesting to note that Venus and the Moon are female planets, whose strength is more dominant at night, while all the others, except for Mercury, are male planets whose influence is more intense during the day. When writing a talisman, the planetary day and hour are taken into account, in this case Friday, Thursday and Wednesday, and the first hour (immediately after sunrise), which is considered the strongest.

Of course, writing talismans for love is not limited only to the specified days. Sunday, as the first day of the Arabic week, is very often mentioned in recipes for writing talismans. It is ruled by the Sun. But as far as I've noticed, most of the love talismans that are made on Sundays, mostly around noon, have separate letters and symbols, which is a feature of more powerful talismans, like this one.

It is considered that the period from the new moon to the full moon is ideal for any kind of love or business magic practice (since in that phase the moon enhances the power of positive planets), while the period after the full moon, when the moon is waning, is suitable for black magic rituals. Then the dark influence of Mars and Saturn is in expansion and experiences its peak in the last three days (nights) before the new moon. When one wants to destroy someone's relationship or marriage, defeat a rival, or distance him from a loved one, then amulets of hatred, separation and misfortune are written.

TALISMAN FOR LUCK IN LOVE

When it comes to love talismans, the best option is to have a classic amulet for luck in love, which does not target any person directly, but is generally a love talisman that should stimulate new acquaintances, sympathy, love or adventures for its owner. This does not create any pressure or arouse impatience, but makes it easier for a person in his emotional life, especially through interaction with others. For this purpose, individual Koranic verses are often written, below which follows a short guidance, and often some astrological signs of a certain planet, as in the case of this amulet. They usually represent the name of an individual spiritual being that is under the influence of that planet.

How to properly make a talisman

 

I am aware that most people who engage in talismanic magic do not have sufficient knowledge to derive any benefit from it. The drawings and short texts accompanying almost every representation of the talisman, along with simple instructions, are a real lure for anyone who wants to make a love, business or other wish come true.

Usually, everyone is guided by the idea that if they correctly write the text of that note on a sheet of paper, at a certain astrological time, it will cause the desired effect. But that doesn't happen. Just like in life, nothing is simple in magic and everything requires effort, knowledge, and time. Before any magical work, in the room/house where the talisman will be made, it is necessary to expel the spirits that live there for a short time.

They are called amirs (ummar), and they fiercely resist the arrival of the spirits that the sorcerer summons and deliberately spoil his work. Therefore, their banishment is necessary so that they can successfully begin and complete their work of making an effective talisman. The next step is that the sorcerer must seek permission to work from the Jinn ruler of the day. He then uses certain prayers and oaths, as well as magical words, to ask the king who rules over this day to allow or grant permission for the summoning.

Namely, nothing can be done by any spirit, good or bad, not even Iblees (Satan) himself without the consent of the Jinn ruler who rules the day on which the ritual is performed. Therefore, the first task of the magician or sorcerer is to secure permission to work from the ruler of the day, that is, that he agrees with what is to be achieved. The sorcerer calls him seven times, and after that, he takes the rosary and begins the invocation.

Talismans are always made in auspicious astrological times, so the magician must have knowledge of astrology, and the position of the Moon, especially to avoid any occult work when the Moon is in the sign of Scorpio. There are dozens of ways of making talismans and it is up to the magician to discover for himself which method suits him best. According to the advice of older generations of occultists, it is necessary to keep proper records of when the talisman was made, at what solar and lunar time, for what purpose, and record its effect. Namely, this is how you come to know what time of day and night best suits a particular type of work. The secret is always hidden in the details, but also in the commitment itself.

Contact with spirits

When you start working with Jinn, or spirits in general, be prepared for the backlash. Namely, every contact with spiritual forms is staged because of the desire for them to fulfill some of your requests. They are usually then bribed with the smell of incense, which is their food or even a delicacy, and forced to obey various formulas and names. As no one likes to be a servant or subjugated, spirits also try to avoid being enslaved, so they try to scare the one who invokes them and force them to give up. Then they appear to the magician in a dream, most often in the form of an animal like a snake. It can sometimes be a real nightmare and sometimes just a mild and fleeting fear. But I can admit to you, their dimension of existence is truly magical, the colors are more intense than in our world and the beings (humans and animals) do not have the usual appearance, that is, the one we are used to.

So, for example, you can see completely green birds (the shade of that green color itself is almost impossible to describe in words) with the head of a dragon, the wings of a bird, and the legs of a rooster. Snakes can also be green with miniature wings. According to the sleeper (mage), jinn in animal form can be indolent but also aggressive. One of them tried to bite me in my sleep, but I skillfully avoided it. Namely, before any ritual, that aims to draw the attention of the spirits to you, you must protect yourself, not only with a circle, but also by calling beings of light with a clearly expressed message to guard and defend you against the attacks of hostile entities.

 

LOVE PERFUME

 Love perfumes have been used since ancient times by nearly every culture around the world. Although usually worn on the body to attract or keep a lover, love perfumes can also be added to ritual baths to intensify magickal power, stirred into hot wax or tallow to scent and impower homemade candles for love spells, and used to anoint the amulets and talismans of love magick. The following fragrances are ideal to wear or use as love - drawing perfumes : apple blossom, frankincense, honeysuckle, hyacinth ( especially for gay lovers ), jasmine, lavender, lemon blossom, myrrh, myrtle, orange.

To attract a new sex partner or to arouse the sexual desires of your present lover, use any of the following fragrances : lotus, musk, strawberry, vanilla, violet.

To keep your lover faithful to you, wear a bit of magnolia perfume or cologne when making love, or lightly sprinkle a small amount on the sheets of your bed just before sexual activity. ( PLEASE NOTE : Apple blossom perfume can also be used just as effectively.)

To reunite parted lovers, any of the following fragrances are recommended : lotus, magnolia, rose.

To attract a marriage partner or a soulmate, wear a bit of apple blossom or orange blossom perfume. These twosweet fragrances are said to work especially well for women wishing to find a husband. ( WARNING : If you are seriously marriage - minded, one fragrance to definitely avoid at all costs is lilac for it is considered to be an extremely unlucky fragrance for lovers. According to old European folklore, a woman who wears lilacs ( except on May Day ) will die a spinster, and if any person should be foolish enough to give a spray of lilacs to his or her betrothed, their marriage engagement will soon be broken off. (You may or may not believe in old superstitions, but why take a chance?).

BALKAN MAGIC: Love Spells and Invoking Happiness

It is considered that the two most important days for each type of magic, arethe "young Friday" and "young Sunday", or in other words, the first Friday and Sunday when the new Moon appears.

On these special days, most of the occult actions were practiced in the Balkans, at least in the past. This rule was certainly inherited from the Ottomans, who in their conquest of the Balkans brought a multitude of magical beliefs from the Middle East, including that of the Moon and the magical properties of the first lunar days.

This time I will deal with some love recipes and, in a new text, I will go over other aspects of Balkan witchcraft.

The cloth used to tie a dead man's head, in order to keep his mouth shut, is often used in love spells. When a girl notices that her partner might become unfaithful, she would steal the cloth from a dead man, through which she would occasionally look at her lover and repeats this formula three times: "When the soul returns to that dead body, then you too have become unfaithful."

 In order to make a certain man fall in love with her by using magic, a woman would cut off the nails from the dead man in this order: first those on the right hand and left foot, then the nails on the left hand and right foot. After the nails were cut, she would put them in a metal container and keep them in the oven at a high temperature until they are very dry and suitable for grinding into powder. At first given chance, this powder is poured into the drink or food of the desired man. After that, it is believed, that the enchanted man will fall in love with her.

 A husband who wants to ensure his wife's fidelity on young Friday takes six pubic hair from his testicles and scatters them over the place his wife will cross. While he is doing this, he says the following: "Here are six hairs for you, six soldiers have come to you! As they serve their master, so shall you serve me in everything and be faithful! As pubic hairserves my penis, so shall you serve me!".

 After coitus, a mistress, who wants to ensure that her sweetheart will come again, wipes her vagina with her finger and smears it on her lover's penis, saying softly, "As sweet as I am to you now, so will I always be."

 When the husband no longer loves his wife, she puts a towel over the bed on a Saturday night, right before the young Sunday, and makes love to him in the morning. As soon as her husband gets out of bed, she takes out the towel, and then when he washes his face, she quickly hands it to him so that he can wipe his face with it.

After that, love and passion for his wife will reappear in him.

 

HAPPINESS COMES FROM HOMOSEXUALS

 

Balkan magic probably has the most homosexual beliefs and rituals than any other magic in the world.
When we take a closer look at all these recorded witch recipes and their purposes, we undoubtedly conclude that people in the Balkans, during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, believed that homosexuals had special, almost fatalistic powers to change human destiny, invoke love, happiness, and health into the lives of heterosexuals. So, for example, whoever manages to get sperm from a gay person and sew it into the clothes they often wear is protected from all evil,and happiness favors them. If a child, who goes to school, puts a little of that sperm in his pocket, then they will become an outstanding student. 

TREATMENT OF IMPOTANCE

If a man has become impotent then, in order to heal, one should take fresh sperm from a homosexual and smear it on their penis saying, "As soon as this dirt comes out of the gay man, the sperm will come out of me!".

 

INVOKING HAPPINESS AND SUCCESS 

If you invest your money in a big job, then you would have to invite a neighbor or a friend who is a homosexualto dinner (barbecue). Keep a close eye on them and when they go to urinate somewhere outside, be sure that you go with them too. While urinating together, it is necessary to say in a quiet voice: "As urine quickly rushes out of the gay man’s penis, so will money and success come to me as quickly as well."

When someone accidentally sees a homosexual urinating or going number 2, they should firmly grab their butt and say: "As much as that gay man urinates or poops, so much happiness will follow me everywhere as well!"

Likewise, whoever manages to measure the gay man’s penis while erected, should carry that measure (thread) always with them in their wallet, as it will attract them a lot of business success.

When a homosexual is spotted while urinating, it is necessary to casually measure their penis, with a thread or a rope, then take that measure and leave it in the cattle barn and say: "As fast as this gay penis was, so fast will be my cattle."

 

To protect yourself from witches and black magicians when you are near them, it is necessary to connect the tips of the thumb and forefinger on one hand and to run the thumb between the forefinger and the middle finger on the other hand. This gives you complete protection against their attacks and spells. This is also very effective if you want to protect yourself from an energy vampire.

THE MAGICAL POWER OF URINE - FOR HEALTH, LOVE, AND AGAINST MAGIC

The most famous detail when it comes to urineis the one that brings it into close contact with the medicine. Namely, urine therapy or urinary therapy has been a method of treatment known to man for thousands of years, from the earliest cultures to modern times. The oldest writings on urinary therapy date back to 5000 years ago and were found in India. The document consists of 107 verses called "Shivambu Kalpa Vidhi" ("Rejuvenation by drinking urine") and is part of scripture called "Damar Tantra". In short: urinary therapy involves drinking your own urine, massaging the whole or just parts of the body, putting on compresses, and much more. In ancient times, urine was used to treat wounds but also to whiten teeth. In his book “Naturalis Historia”, the Roman author Pliny the Elder writes about the use of urine in the treatment of wounds, dog or snake bites, skin diseases, eye infections, and the treatment of burns and scars.

Today, it is known that urine purifies the body, removes excess mucus, and has a number of specific and beneficial effects. The most important thing to know is that urine after excretion is completely sterile and has an antiseptic effect. In Bosnia, it is believed that washing with urine cleanses the face and gets rid of acne. Also, it is believed that the first and last stream of urine should be avoided while the middlestream is clean and has healing properties. It can be consumed in drops under the tongue, it is safe to drink, or it can be made homeopathically, it all depends on what kind of disease it is. For example, to treat a severe cough, the patient would have to drink a glass of his own urine for seven mornings straight.

According to Turkish folklore, the first urine in the morning is considered pure and therefore has healing and magical properties. Namely, just as magic and medicine have gone hand in hand since their inception, it is impossible not to look at the story of urine from a mystical aspect. Continuing the Turkish tradition, it should be mentioned that in voodoo magic it is believed that the first drops of urine, which a person drops in the morning, have magical power, and it is used in recipes for making amulets to increase libido and potency.

We will soon be convinced that the people in the Balkans were very well acquainted with its powers. Apart from its medicinal purpose, urine has also found its magical application here, especially in rituals of love magic. In Bosnia, the following magic method is practiced to arouse passion in the desired person: you need to urinate in a small bowl, then touch the middle of the liquid with the index finger of your right hand, transfer a drop of urine, and drop it into a cup of coffee, saying: “The same way you cannot spend a day with urinating, you cannot live without me and my love”.

In Romania, a woman who wants to enchant her husband or lover pours a few drops of her urine into moonshine and says, “Just as I can’t stop urinating from day to day, the same way my darling cannot be without me. Just as the vagina and the anus, the anus and the vagina are connected, so is my darling connected to me! ”

 

URINE AGAINST MAGIC

Few people know that in addition to the fact that urine can be used to create love between two people, the same connection can also be canceled. Namely, among Arabs and Turks, love spells are traditionally broken with urine, and the process itself is quite simple. A person who suspects that theyare under the influence of love magic should bathe in their own urine. With this method, it is necessary to mix urine with the bath water and wash yourself with the mixture.

Furthermore, a person who believes they have magic in them can drink their own urine to break down the supernatural action and restore their mind and body to a normal state. This may sound disgusting to most, however, it is an effective method of breaking the spell. It is not necessary to drink clean urine, instead, it can be mixed with Coca-Cola or fruit juice and then drunk.

 

FORECASTING FATE

 In order to find out why a married couple does not have children, or which partner has a health problem, urine was taken from both spouses, each in a separate container, and then a little wheat bran was thrown into both. The containers would be left overnight and then observed in the morning. It was considered to reveal the person who does not have the ability to reproduce if no bugs (insects) appeared in their urine container.

In Egypt, the custom of divination with the help of a pregnant woman's urine is very well known in order to find out in advance what sex the child she is carrying will be. For this prediction, a little wheat and barley are taken and thrown into a container with fresh urine. If the wheat germinates, it will be a boy; if barley sprouts, a girl will be born.

 

BOSNIAN RITUALS FOR HAPPINESS AND MONEY

 A man who wants to be successful in life would have to say the following, each and every time he goes to urinate: "My penis, you are the master of the whole house, no one can harm you!"

To have luck in money, on "young Friday" you need to spray your wallet with urine and say, "As I couldn't live without a penis (or vagina), so can’t the wallet live without money”.

When a dead cat or dog is seen, one should urinate over them and say, "I am urging my happiness to be alive and not dead!"

The most dangerous and oldest magic - knots

Most occultists believe that knots were the first props that the ancient wizards of Persia, Chaldea, and Egypt began to use in their rituals. This is certainly not without reason and is inspired by the belief that human destiny is represented symbolically as a thread of silk or wool. Ritual tying and untying of thread or wool could magically affect anyone’s life. In the esoteric notion, a knot is accumulated or blocked energy, which is retained in one place, or location which it represents and thus contains the spiritual power to affect the human body and psyche. A pictorial example of the magic is of a man being sexually bound where a white thread is dipped in vinegar and then knots are tied on it with the utterance of special words. It is interesting to note that the number of knots is always an odd number (3, 7, 9, 11, 41), and as their number increases, the magic itself gains power.

The knot ritual is most often performed with the intention of connecting one person to another and is therefore usually placed in the domain of love magic. However, such work has a dualistic nature, it can be used for positive as well as negative purposes. When it is in the service of a noble goal, such as preserving someone's marriage, by preventing the partner from leaving the home, then the following procedure is usually done. Forty-one knots are tied on a thin rope, saying the person's name when each knot is tied, and then this is added: "Let you be tied to me and the house like this" and then blow into the knot. After the tying is finished, the rope is placed under a mat, in front of the doorstep, before the desired person arrives. The moment the person steps on the mat, he or she becomes "tied" to the house and has no strength or will to leave.

Very evil spells exist which are traditionally performed in Turkey for special purposes and one of them is to force the bridegroom to commit suicide. This is done by tearing off a 70cm long thread from freshly spun wool, then washed in salted water and dried off. Then the ashes from the furnace are sprinkled on the thread and the name of the person which is to be enchanted is spoken, seven knots are tied at equal intervals, repeating a certain magic oath all throughout the ritual while blowing on the right and left side. At the end of the process the tied thread is taken away and discreetly placed under the doorstep of the future bridegroom, usually the night before the wedding. Due to the action of the described magic, according to the testimony of some people, the bridegroom hangs herself.

The magic of augmented reality

If the knots are intended to provoke love feelings, then the story about them is much more interesting but also more complex. Namely, it is believed that this is the spell that most strongly affects a person's emotional world, as it directly affects the heart and brain of the victim. Reportedly, thanks to the magic of knots, many women have come across a man they like. It is also claimed to be used by individual merchants to persuade people to buy and make money, and it is noted that in ancient times generals practiced this magic to ensure that soldiers unconditionally carried out their orders.

The specificity of the described magic is that the persons who are enchanted do not accept the possibility that their feelings were artificially created because they are firmly convinced that the infatuation is real and the result of true love. In fact, it is not even possible for them to have a reasonable opinion, since the magic of knots covers all aspects of a person. In other words, a person who is "bound" cannot think otherwise. Presented in more detail, this magic dominates over seven human feelings at the same time and they are: love, hate, jealousy, fear, hope, joy and dream. If you take a closer look at this list, you will notice that the first six refer to positive and negative emotions, while the seventh is related to the sphere of sleep, that is, the time when the body and soul are resting. The dreams we see while sleeping affect us, mostly subconsciously, as do the events we experience while being awake. Based on this fact it can be concluded that the magic of knots surrounds a person in all aspects.

But, even though it is powerful sorcery, its weakness should be emphasized, which is reflected in the fact that it has a temporary effect. According to occult books, magic with knots works for 271 days or about nine months. This period is considered long enough for a woman to have a lasting relationship with the desired man. Some other sources claim that this enchantment could last for five years.

In the practice of working with knots, multicolored threads are used, so it is necessary to be instructed in the symbolism itself in order to be able to choose the right color in accordance with the desire or goal. For example, if you want someone to blindly fall in love with you, choose a red colored rope or thread. The basic rule is that the most effective witchcraft is the one performed with the right colored thread. In addition to red, purple is also used for love, when you want the relationship to be dynamic, while the white thread is used so that the partner does not become passive, boring and so on. Witchcraft with a thread that has seven multicolored threads in it is considered to be one of the most effective spells for love bounding. Also, it is common for the effects to take place, on average, within the first two weeks, which again depends on the color of the thread used in its production.

It is noticeable that there are variations of this magic, among which are spells with stronger and weaker intensity of action, which is again conditioned by the number of knots. If one person should fall in love with another, a black thread is used, to which seven knots are tied, while if a married man is enchanted, who should fall in love with his mistress, then 41 knots are tied on a red thread. Other materials needed for the spell are a little salt, white paper and four pebbles. During the spell, while the knots are tied on the rope, the names of the Jinns who will shape the feelings are repeated.

Some occultists borrow the Jinns, as well as their masters, to empower their work, while others use the servants of magic called Hudam, also invisible beings, whose power is stronger than that of a Jinn. After the knots are tied, the salt is poured on a flat surface after which the paper is burned and the ashes mixed with it. The resulting mixture of salt and ash is thrown into a lake, river or sea. The four pebbles are thrown into the direction of the four corners of the world, making sure that the distance between them is at least 12 steps. As each stone is thrown, the names of the Jinn and the person with whom this enchantment should provoke infatuation are spoken.

When performing the described magic, it is very important to be discreet and invisible to others, because if the details of what was done are revealed, it can happen that the magic itself changes direction. Which actually means deviating from the original purpose and focusing on something completely different which can mean deteriorating health, causing a mental imbalance, disorder or even a desire to commit suicide. When it comes to the witchcraft of 41 knots, then there is no doubt it’s the work of black magic, with which, among other things, a person's happiness or destiny, wealth, job and mental health are "bound". Such magic is extremely dangerous and harmful. Soon after the sorcery is done and planted, the persons job gets worse, they lose money and health. In some cases, knots can even lead to death. It is generally believed that the witchcraft of 41 knots is difficult, if not impossible, to remove from the victim. Namely, its action can be ended only by an extremely spiritually strong person, whose prayers are answered by God.

How to defend yourself from black magic

Bosnian stravarke (folk doctors) claim that there is no object or thing in this world that cannot be used for magic or spells. Not even the sacred books, religious paraphernalia or holy water are spared from that. Of course, despite this fact it is also necessary to note that only a small number of people are able to successfully perform magic and cast spells. Such persons, first of all, have to be mentally strong and able to maintain communication with the spirit world. Without these two conditions magic is not feasible.



Witch props are usually those items that are in daily use such as bread, water, coffee, sugar, scissors, needle, matches, thread, wool, etc. Often at first glance quite harmless little things outside the front door or below the threshold, pillows or toilet, that you would not even pay attention to, are actually charged magic props that emit negative energy.


Magic for home


Although I am not a supporter of the idea that the effect of magic is reflected in everything, nor that every even remotely suspicious object should be declared as an evil spell, it is my opinion that one should be careful about everything that is, especially in the morning, found at the entrance door or under the mat.

Since ancient times it is known that the entrance to the house is a particularly sensitive place for picking up any kind of magic, and therefore if you find the remains of the earth, blood, water, cat's or dog hairs, colored thread, etc., do not ignore them and consider them as a harmless coincidence or wind’s play.

It is very important to note that any such object found at the entrance door should not, under any circumstances, be brought into the house, nor touched with a hand. It is enough to sweep it with a broom on dustpan than throw it into dumpster. After that, the threshold and doorposts should be sprayed with wine vinegar, in order to fully neutralize any negative impact.

Magic charms are often brought into the house with the clear intention to attract evil spirits into that home and to fill it with negative energy. Continuous restlessness, sudden deterioration of household appliances, groundless arguments, frequent headaches or, most often, the feeling that you are everywhere more comfortable than at home, is a clear indication of the influence of supernatural forces. The best places to place magic spells are toilet or the bedroom where the victim of magic sleeps. Especially dangerous are those spells that are sewn into the pillow, as they directly affect the human psyche.

The best way to eliminate all of those spells that are found in the home, in the opinion of Bosnian stravarke, is this - all magic charms should be picked up and taken to a three-border point. That is the place where the three plots of land meet, and in its center one should dig a hole, put the magic charms in it and then cover them with soil.

According to stravarke, after that the person who made magic (witch) is completely blocked and can no longer do magic against you. Of course, after that it is very good to "clean" the house with exorcism water or by burning some proven incense, so that peace and prosperity can return to it.


The fire and water met


If you do not know where to turn for help, after you eliminated suspicious objects from the house, use this ritual. Go to a water spring and throw firstly three pieces of bread and a bit of salt in it, saying: "Holy water, great mother, I present you with bread and salt and you please give me what I ask of you - home peace and prosperity!" Then scoop some water and take it home. Throw nine live coals in it or burning matches and every time, while doing so, repeat:

Enemy’s hands decayed!

This is, otherwise, a verse from a long exorcism spell pronounced by stravarke while forcing evil away, but it is enough for above described ritual. As soon as you remove the coals or matches from the water, use the water to spray the walls of the whole apartment or house.

Another useful advice on how to protect your home from magic and spirits, and somehow make it hard for their invasion, is not to allow the moonlight to "enter" into the house. In the nights of the full moon draw the opaque curtain over the window, drop the blinds or shutters. Moonlight is the strongest carrier of the magical forces and spirits use it many times to enter into the house and with them enters the magic. That is why it is typical for sensible persons to suffer from restlessness, insomnia or nightmares.



Demonic possession through dolls from grave


According to my opinion, but also by experience, the most serious forms of magic are those made with fresh soil from graves. In my research I found some interesting stories told by some stravarke, who revealed intriguing details about the rituals of black magic among the Bosnian people. Sihirbaza (witch) wanting to hurt her enemy is waiting for someone from neighborhood to die and on the same night, after the burial, goes to that grave completely naked and straddles it like a horse.

After some time that she spent muttering mysterious words, she stand up, grab the soil from the grave, as much as it is enough to make a miniature clay doll. In that soil she than put some characteristic sign of the person against whom she is preparing the spell, such as the footprint, the thread from clothes or something else. After that she is splashing the soil  with cow’s urine and blood of a black hen, and mixing it with the soil, spitting on it three times saying:

Such will you NN also vomit and urinate blood, every day until he die!

After she formed a human figure from the soil she takes it and buries it under a dry stump or under an old tree that slowly dries. According to the testimony of stravarka, the person who is a target of such a magic spell gets ill in a very short period and dies unless he gets help.

Studying described ritual I found out that it is based on the obsessions, i.e. that sihirbaza tries to connect the spirit of a deceased person with the victim of magic by the soil as medium, so that the spirit would possess the victim and cause the illness, madness or even death. Of course, goes without saying that these and similar rituals are extremely dangerous because they are based on control of the spirit of the dead person.

Also, sitting or lying on the grave is characteristic ritual gesture of Arabic magic. Namely, the witches are most inclined to visit the graves of people who, during their lifetime, held a prominent position or post, such as a judge, because of the belief that extremely strong jinn like to visit such graves. Sitting naked on the grave the witch allows the demons of the grave to possess her, and in return some of her wishes shall be fulfilled, especially these related to black magic.

Amulet – protection from evil people

It is necessary to write something about amulets as well, whose main and only purpose is to protect us from all forms of negative energy and evil. Before creation of an amulet it is advisable to check with the help of the method of spiritual numerology if the client is especially young, “open” or “closed” destiny or luck, since in the case of a positive answer one must write a talisman for opening of destiny or better to say – freeing life energy. In my opinion an amulet is necessary to us all so that a person could thread securely through life without danger of being blocked by some negative energy. When there are no such obstacles a man can use his potential and abilities without issues in order to get by in life. Of course there are lazy people, without a desire to fight or work, and to those people not even an amulet can change their destiny for the better, since they themselves don’t desire a change.

 

The most frequent effect of negative energy on a human being is not manifested in a sensational way it is usually perfidious and hidden. Under the influence of magic, spells, possession or something else a person is losing energy too quickly, he suddenly droops and is faint, he doesn’t feel like doing anything, is sleepy and without desire. When he decides to do something, he starts and gives up quickly. They are usually the most frequent symptoms of someone being under the influence of evil.

 

Of course, besides the mentioned other indicators can appear such as frequent headaches, bad sleep, loss of immunity and the like. In order to get rid of it, it is necessary to “close” holes in the aura through which invisible entities drain human life energy and one needs to renew and strengthen energetic field. This can be achieved in numerous ways but through tradition of spiritual medicine amulets have been shown as the most effective. In the practical part of elimination and cleansing from evil small, content short talismans have been shown to be the most effective, these talismans are usually written by saffron ink mixed with rose water, the amulets are submerged into a bottle of clear water and the water is then drunk. Usually this water is drunk three days in a row, in the morning and evening, when the body is cleansed from negative energy and is slowly returning to harmony.

 

In contrast, amulet which will be carried on the body or kept above the sheets on the wall can be written by coloured ink, usually red, black or green, whose content cannot be seen by the future owner. Actually, besides the creator of the amulet, no one can see the content of the amulet. The reason for such a relationship is that forces of good are summoned when the amulet is written and between the inscriber and the forces there cannot be a third person. Namely, in the ritual of amulet creation, clean materials are stressed i.e. clean energies: one writes on an unused paper, incense and a new white candle is being lit, the time of inscription is dawn, the purest part of the day, the inscriber must be physically clean, etc. The one constructing the amulet cannot be brought into danger that a presence of someone can violate the spiritual harmony and to invalidate all of his efforts, which can happen easily if the client is in the state of physical impurity or under the influence of negative energy.

 

Regular alms giving (sadaka) is an inseparable segment of talisman magic. In Bosnian tradition there is a belief about the term “nafakali ruka” or “lucky hand” – which is tied to successful stravarke or Imam’s. It is claimed that they with the help of God can help anyone who asks for their help and they are very successful in curing and chasing away evil from humans. One mustn’t be stingy or greedy since nothing on this beautiful planet is ours, we are here only temporarily, and that’s why we cannot usurp something which doesn’t belong to us. The essence of love and life is in sharing and helping, what makes us human in the end, and with which we are summoning great amounts of positive energy. It helps us feel better, to be happier and healthier, to handle life challenges much more easily, look better, be less under stress, attract positive people, etc. Mainly, benefits are many fold.

 

Remember, a stingy man is not a good believer nor a good soul. They are energetically destructive people for their environment and usually all those people which are in contact with them have a closed destiny i.e. it is blocked. They are the carriers of bad energy and often times it occurs that anyone who does business with them in any way suffers a series of bad luck and losses. Among the people it is usually said that they are “heavy” – bad tempered and full of negative energy. It is recommended to have an amulet because of these people.

 

I’m enumerating all these things informatively to first and foremost warn those individuals which for some reason, usually material, want to deal with this doctrine, they should initially study the theory and understand the responsibility and danger which comes with this miraculous skills, for which I believe stems from the ancient cult of communication with invisible beings, which existed from the dawn of mankind.  

Sihr or magic

Generally the term Sihr describes a range of terms which are known to us as magic, including various methods of oracles, the use of different objects and signs, medicinal plants, assembling spells, manufacturing talismans and notations, and communicating with supernatural forces. During the long history of magic which begins in the drab of mankind we find depicted walls of the caves in

Altamira, Spain, where the primitive man drew figures of punctured wild animals wanting to influence that way his hunting skills and to strengthen his hunting capabilities. In paganism, the first form of religion, magic played a central role and by virtue of it and through spells performing magic rituals the priests and priestesses addressed the gods and spirits of nature. Later with the advent of monotheism, the history of magic continues with the stories about Adam and his daughter Anak, then Solomon or the Persian ruler of magic and the world of King Jamshid all the way to Iblis and his daughter Baidah, the angels Harut and Marut, etc.

Today we reliably know that no religion can exist without magic because without it the religion could not exist nor could it be accepted by the people. The things that fascinated and inspired man for ages and ever since his origin, are the miracles and supernatural phenomena before which he recedes and prostrates himself. If we look at the stories of the three messengers of God Mosses, Jesus and Mohammed we will notice magical or miraculous legends. In the case of Mosses the division of the ocean is nothing else but a copy of the much older Egyptian myth in which one of the pharaoh's wizards splits a lake into two before the spellbound people. Satan's temptation of Jesus in the desert is a classical description of an ancient wizard who evokes and communicates with demons. Muhammad's banishment of the devil also points to a similar myth.
